Critical Readers 2003
This course involves close text readings of various theoretical and critical texts related to contemporary practices. Held in a small group of twelve, the course meets once a month to read and discuss the ideas within key texts. The texts will be English language texts and may be from exhibition catalogues, theoretical books or magazines.
Texts to be read include:
Okuwei Enwezor’s introductory essay in Documenta 11 catalogue. (2002)
Nicolas Bourriaud’s ‘Relational Aesthetics’ (2000).

All the courses are held in Japanese.

Students have access to our extensive reference library containing artists monographs, group exhibitions catalogues, international exhibition catalogues and related archives.
